Halo: Reach Review.
Yes it’s all stupendous and fancy and I love the series but Reach just seems, I don’t know, lame. Sure you want to debate this, the online is all fancy pants and neat but the campaign is what I always played the Halo games for. Right off the get go you know you’re going to die and Reach was a failure (if you followed the timeline at all). Not only can you tell if you start the game and change your helmet and redraft the campaign again to see the helmet in the dust that belongs to you but all your Noble team dies along the way. Jorge was the only one I was sad about seeing go and maybe Emile a bit but it was lame. Debate this all you want but go play campaign and tell me what you think.
Another thing that really pissed me off if that the graphics weren’t improved but merely motion blurred for no reason. I was expecting armor texture and quality from Mass Effect 2, which would have been sexy, but no, it seemed very much like Halo 3. Hey Bungie, take your motion blur and stick it up your ass! I want armor texture and improved graphics!
In short, Halo: Reach is essentially ODST starring Spartans. Boo.
